Annie Ruth Johnson

Annie Ruth Johnson was born to the late Annie and Allen Reynolds on April 1, 1941. She departed this earthly life on Saturday April 24, 2021. She graduated High School from her hometown of Atmore Al. She Traveled the world as an ARMY wife after marrying her high school sweetheart Elmo Johnson in 1964. They settled down in El Paso, TX after he retired from the ARMY after 21yrs. She received christ at an early age and was a member of Unity Baptist Church in El Paso, TX since 1986. Annie Ruth was such a wonderful loving wife, mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and outstanding cook! Famous for wonderful thanksgiving dinners, sweet potato pies and 7up pound cake. Preceded in death by her father and mother Allen and Annie Reynolds; Sister Florastein Jackson; brothers Johnny Lee, Volley and Charles. Her life is celebrated today by her husband of 56yrs. Elmo Johnson; El Paso, TX; son Renato Johnson El Paso, TX; daughter Tracy Jones- son in law David Jones Sugarland, TX; brother Allen Reynolds Denver Colorado; Grandchildren Kahalid Johnson- wife Savannah Johnson Hawaii; Anastacia Jones, Julian Jones, Nadia Jones Sugarland, TX; great granddaughter Leilani Rosanna Johnson Hawaii; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will start from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass.
