Annie Brown

Annie Williams Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great- grandmother peacefully passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 100. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Annie lived a remarkable life filled with love. 

A devoted Air Force wife, Annie embarked on countless journeys alongside her husband, traveling across Europe and Asia and throughout the US. 

Annie cherished her role as a mother, raising seven children. She was known for her unwavering love, her gentle guidance, and her dedication to her family.

In her free time, Annie found solace and joy in reading. She was an avid reader who devoured books of all genres, expanding her knowledge and broadening her horizons. She also enjoyed listening to country music and watching the CMA awards. 

Annie will be deeply missed by her surviving children: Leonard Humphrey, Anita Brown Glasper, Nanette Brown Turner, and Elijah Brown Jr.; her adopted grandson, Christopher Brown; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Elijah J. Brown Sr., three children: Howard Humphrey Jr., Cynthia Charity, and Sebron Humphrey; and other cherished loved ones.

Her name Annie means Gracious or Merciful…

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Funeral Service will begin at 9:00am on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Committal Service to follow at 11:00am on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
