Anna Marie McCarthy

Anna Marie McCarthy of El Paso passed away on May 27, 2012 at a local hospital. Ann was born in Wawarsing, New York the eldest daughter of eleven children to the late John A. Yerkins and Gladys Lawrence Yerkins. Ann was the wife of the late MSG William McCarthy. She was a resident of El Paso for 52 years. She was an avid bowler for over 50 years. She was one of the three women of El Paso to bowl a 300 game, she loved bowling. Ann was preceded in death by two daughters, Pamela and Kelley Jo; and granddaughter, Stephanie Mise. Ann leaves behind her six children, Kathy and her husband Udo Freitag of Germany, Dawne and Randy Morris of Kansas, Patrick and Martha McCarthy of New York, Michelle and Phil Miller of Florida, Tracey and John Schaffer of Kansas, Michale McCarthy of El Paso; stepdaughters, Sharon Hoh of Pennsylvania, Audrey and Michale Mise of North Carolina. Ann has 14 loving grandchildren, Nicole Fretiag, Marco Fretiag, Randy William Daniel Morris, Sean McCarthy, Adam Goldberg, Jessica Boyer, Annabelle Miller, Tabitha Prestock, Sarah Flaherty, Thomas Flaherty, and Chris Mise; three great-grandchildren, Arelia Morris, Amelia Prestock, Alyssa Prestock and two more on their way. Visitation will be held from 3-6pm with a Scripture Service to begin at 5pm, Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Services will begin at 1pm, Monday, June 4, 2012 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donation to Autism.
