It is with great sadness that the family of Anna Danciger announce her passing on November, 24, 2021 at the age of 57. She is survived by her mother, Argelia Artalejo, father, Kent Danciger, brother Paul (Liz) Danciger, sister, Marie (Zac) Jacobson and sister Suzanne (David) Danciger-Garcia. She is also survived by her nieces Lauren and Breanna Danciger, nephews Noah, Isaac and Ezra Jacobson, and her great nephews Brayden Danciger and Caden Danciger. Anna was a lifelong member resident of El Paso, TX where she worked for Centro de Salud Familiar La Fe and Centro San Vicente and as an advisory member to the LGBTQ+ advisory board. She was recently selected by the Borderland Rainbow Center and Resiliency Center of El Paso as one of the Border Heroes. She was featured on the Borderland Rainbow Center Flashcard Project as a result of her approach to promote acceptance and inclusiveness in the trans community. Anna’s largest and proudest contribution was as an advisory member to the Texas HIV Syndicate where she worked tirelessly on a state plan to end the HIV epidemic and deliver HIV prevention and care services. Anna was known for her amazing fashion sense, her love for her family and her dogs, and she was a strong believer of God. She had an uncanny ability to make people laugh with her personality that was contagious to people she met. Even though cancer took her away from this world, she was a beacon of light for all in the community. She made a difference in the lives of many and we will forever be changed. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 13,2021 at 10:00am at Memory Gardens of the Valley. Services are entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home - West.
