Anna Marie Bone was born on September 23, 1944 in Johnson City, TN as the 5th child of Edward and Ethel Ervin. She graduated from Langston High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education from Dillard University in New Orleans and continued on to complete her master’s degree from East Tennessee State University. Her 37-year professional career encompassed teaching in Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas where she retired as Director of Data Quality at EPISD in 2013.
She relocated to El Paso, where she met her “Honey Love” Bobby J. Bone whom she married and raised 5 children. Anna’s devotion to Believe, Trust and Obey God made her an inimitable force to be reckoned with at home, work and in the community. She was beloved by many. All who knew her recognized her intelligence, love, commitment, and dedication as part of her wonderful personality. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She leaves behind; her loving husband Bobby J. Bone, her sons Daryl L. Ervin, Bobby J. Bone Jr., Joseph A. Bone, Stephen C.E. Bone, many grandchildren 5 whom she was raising, Beyonce N. Bone, Isaiah Owens, Shawn Owens, Michael Owens, and Jordan Owens; her brothers Robert A. Love, David W. Ervin, her sisters Beverly J. Fuller, Judith E. Allen, Anita E.C. Ervin and several nieces and nephews. God has called her to be reunited with her mother and father, her brothers Edward Eugene Love and Donald T. Ervin, and her precious baby girl Sarah N. Bone.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home - Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. A Private Committal Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
