Anita León

Anita León, 93, passed away on the night of Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She raised her family in El Paso, TX with husband Pedro Leon and was known for her homemade tortillas, delicious bean burritos, and refreshing sweet tea. Anita enjoyed knitting, cooking and welcoming others into her home. She appreciated any opportunity to gather with the family she loved.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and children; Estela Baca, Luis and Jorge León. She leaves behind three sisters, her children; Pedro Leon Jr. and Elena Molinar, her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 18th, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 19th, 2023 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 WIlliamette.  Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
