Andres (CHITO) Juarez Ramirez, 93 years young, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Andres was born in Sierra Blanca, Texas on November 28, 1928. He was a self-educated man and developed his reading and math skills by reading the newspaper daily.
Andres is preceded in death by his parents Secundino N Ramirez and Rafaela J Ramirez, his loving wife, Enriqueta C Hernandez, wife of 55 years, brothers Juan and Alcario Ramirez, sisters Irene Doncaster, Maurilia Carrillo, Delia R Rico and grandson Norman A Arrieta.
Survived by 3 sons Ernesto, Noel, Ricardo and 5 daughters Berta, Sandra, Norma, Edna, Denise, 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, partner Armandina Chatman, sisters
Pilar West, Francisca (Kika) Alvarado and brother Antonio J Ramirez. He was a hard worker and a good provider. Andres started working at the young age of 7 as a cowboy alongside his father. At 16 he worked for the railroad. He began working at the age of 17 with TXDOT until he retired in 1978. After his retirement he continued to work as a heavy equipment operator / blade man until 2016 at the young age of 88. In his early life he enjoyed being a barber and street boxing. Andres had a passion for music and started his own band wherein he played the accordion and keyboard.

Monday, September 26, 2022, Visitation 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM Sunset Funeral Homes –Americas, 9521 N. Loop El Paso, TX 79907. Tuesday, September 27, 2022, Viewing at 10:00 AM with a Mass at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Miracles Church, 556 E. Cavender St., Sierra Blanca, TX 79851. Interment will follow at 12:15 PM at Our Lady of Miracles Cemetery. Pallbearers: Arvin and Dalton Jr West, Lupito and Victor Alvarado, Eduardo Ramirez, Mario Ramirez, Oscar Aguerro, Dwayne Miller and Honorary Pallbearer, Wayne West.
