Alma Garcia Johnson

January 12, 1950 — March 2, 2021

Alma Lourdes Garcia Johnson went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday March 2, 2021. Born January 12, 1950 in Mexico City. She grew up in Juarez until 1954 when thanks to her Mother's dedication and hard work they moved to El Paso, Texas. Alma was a shy and quiet student graduating from Bel Air High School. She went on to study at Tri State Beauty College and graduated top of her class. In 1984 she met and fell in love with U.S. Army soldier, Roger Anthony Johnson from Little Rock, Arkansas. They were Married on Feb 16, 1985. Together they had two children Rogelio Antonio Johnson Jr and Roger Anthony Johnson III. The marriage later dissolved. She dedicated her life to her two sons, her boys as she called them. She became a volunteer at their schools later working for the school system. She was proud of both her sons her eldest being the first to obtain a University degree in the family and her youngest following in the proud tradition of Military service in the U.S. Army. Alma was a kind and friendly soul who made friends wherever she was. Her strength and wisdom were shared with many family and friends. She loved to read, watch movies, work diligently on puzzles, garden and cook. She was an amazing cook, something her children will attest too. She later on had a Grandson from her youngest and his relationship with Clarie Mendoza whom she considered her daughter. Michael Joseph Johnson was the apple of her eye and she adored him. She is preceded in Death by her mother Enedina Garcia Pitts, her Father Seaborn Pitts, her nieces Carol Melinda and Cynthia Mae. She is survived by her sons, grandson, sister Victoria Piedad Glennon, nieces Felicia Sessions and Catherine Haskell, and a host of many grandnieces and grandnephews.
