Allen Van Buren Taylor

Allen Van Buren Taylor, 81, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in his home after a two year battle with cancer. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 8, 1928 and was a long time resident of El Paso since 1966. He retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of faithful service. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, June, daughters, Jane, Alexis, Linda and Sara, grandsons, Jason and Richie, sons-in-law, Rick, Dean and Nick and other extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank his caregivers for the tender and devoted care they extended to him-Saundra, Hugo, Claudia, Humberto, Merna and the staff at CIMA Hospice, specifically Veronica and Kelly. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Eulogy at 6:00 pm. Committal Service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
