Allan Lawrence Lemley

Allan L. Lemley, 81, born May 28, 1929 passed away on July 29, 2010. Born in Queens, New York, Allan was a resident of El Paso for almost 40 years. He thoroughly enjoyed life with family, friends, church and work, all with his loyal poodle companion, Soliel, by his side. He was a true gentleman in every respect. In addition to his successes in business he was a modest but talented artist and musician. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara and survived by six children, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three step daughters: daughter Susan LaBarge of Albuquerque, NM, her children Jolene McBee and husband Alan of Kingman, Arizona; Christopher of Tacoma, Washington; and Valerie of Austin, Texas; son Allan Lemley Jr. and wife Irene Savanyo of Taos, NM, and their son Nicolas; daughter Janice Young and husband Gary of Albuquerque, NM, their daughter Jennifer Castillo and husband Michael of Las Cruces, NM; daughter Pamela Collins and husband Frank of Fairfax, Virginia, and their children Ivel Lee, Ann and Parker; daughter Suzanne Torres of Arlington, Texas, and her sons Zachary Richard and Caleb Torres; daughter Lizbeth Nabhan and husband Joseph of Grand Lake, Colorado, and their children Noah and Laine. He has four great granddaughters, Addison and Aubree McBee and Sophia and Olivia Castillo. Three step daughters, Docia Nielsen, Katherine Goodloe, and Carol Cordova. Memorial Services will be held at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 5005 Love Road, El Paso, Texas, 79922, on Monday, August 9th at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Allan’s name. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes–West.
