Alicia Lopez

Alicia Lopez, 64, beloved Mother and 22-year breast cancer survivor was called to her eternal resting place on September 21, 2018 after a 10-year ovarian cancer battle. She entered this world on September 24, 1953 in El Paso, TX, born to Vicente and Bertha Munoz. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Gomez, son-in-law Joe Gomez, grandson Carlos Gomez, and brothers Hector, Martin, and Javier Munoz, sisters Bertha Munoz and Irma Quinones. She was preceded in death by siblings Antonio and Vicente Munoz and Margie Gomez. Alicia and her family would like to give special thanks to: Dr Shahinian, Mrs. Shahinian, nurses and staff for their support and treatment; the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and Tigua Community for their support and friendship through the years; to Ricardo Barajas, for treatment throughout the years; her neighbors, the Morales family for their friendship, love and support; and to her Taco Cabana friends and "Las del Coro", for their unwavering friendship during difficult times. Visitation will be held Monday, October 1, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas with Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Services for Alicia will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church with Father Don Adamski officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
