Our beloved Alicia Aguirre passed away suddenly on Monday April 25th, 2022. She was born in Durango, Mexico to Guillermo and Clemencia Martinez on August 15th, 1942 and raised in El Paso, Texas, a proud graduate of Burges High School.
Alicia worked for Pitney Bowes as a office manager, and also as a Title Clerk for the County of El Paso, until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed traveling on weekend getaways with her sisters, and to show her support for her great grandchildren, no matter the occasion.
Alicia was a fun, loving soul. She loved life, and the most important thing to her was family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Alicia is survived by her daughter Lucilla Aguirre, son Sergio Aguirre Jr., son Edward Aguirre and wife, Celia Perez, grandchildren Veronica Centeno and husband, Andrew Samaniego, Anastasia Aguirre, and Ariel Aguirre. Great grandchildren Alexandria Centeno and Andrew Samaniego. Alicia is survived by her sisters Anita Duran, Irene Borunda, Olga Cordova, and Margarita Tellez, and her brothers, William Martinez, Robert Martinez, and Raul Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with rosary beginning at 6:00pm at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Mass will be held on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at 12:00pm at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar. Graveside service will follow at 1:30pm at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson.
