Alice Jean Schneider

Alice Jean Schneider, 86, passed away March 10, 2009 at Providence Memorial Hospital of multiple organ failure. Her husband, Robert Donald Schneider and daughter, Col. Susan K. Schneider, USAF (Ret) were at her side. Jean married her husband, Don, in Yakima, Washington in December 1942. They moved to Eugene, Oregon with their three children in 1958 and to El Paso, TX in 1960. She retired from the civil service at Fort Bliss in 1982 and spent her retirement years enjoying her family, cats and garden. She particularly enjoyed visiting her daughter, Susan, at her various worldwide Air Force assignments. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jean Duncan, and her son, Jon Erik Schneider. She is survived by her husband, Don Schneider of El Paso, TX; daughter, Susan K. Schneider of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Genny Tindall and great grandson, Brayden Tindall of Alton, IL; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Schneider of Rogers, AR. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal service. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
