Alice Julia Adams

Alice Julia Adams was born July 3, 1953 to Paul Alfred Adams and Pauline  Barkelew Adams at Rhein-Main Air Force Base outside Mainz, Germany. She let this world for her eternal home with Jesus Christ on April 3, 2023 in Chaparral, New Mexico. Alice was called by many friends “Julie” and by her family lovingly as Aunt Alice. She fought illness and accident relentlessly her entire life. She was a longtime member of Baruch HaShem Messianic Synagogue in Dallas, Texas and attended Sun Valley Baptist Temple in El Paso for the last few years. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, in El Paso, her older sister Eileen Pond in Gillette, Wyoming, and her divorced husband Bill Newton, of Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her older brother John Q. Adams, her sister-in-law, Nancy G. Adams both of Chaparral, New Mexico, her niece Faith Ann Adams of El Paso, her niece Vena Wedge and nephew-in-law David Wedge of Kyle, Texas and her great nephew Ryan T. Wedge of Kyle, Texas. Her fight was valiant, her victory with Christ is assured but she leaves a void in this world that cannot be filled. Today she can walk and dance again, praise God.

A memorial service will be held at Sun Valley Baptist Temple on Wednesday, April 19 at 11:00 AM with a reception and tasting of her favorite snacks following in the church Fellowship Hall. Please join us for a celebration of her life.
