Alfredo Jimenez Hidalgo, 90, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2017 surrounded by his daughter Wilma Hidalgo Miller & his grandchildren Deja Nicole Hayes and E. Noel Melendez. Alfredo J. Hidalgo was born on December 28, 1926, born in Aguadlilla, Puerto Rico. He proudly served in the United States Army for 28 years. He was a two time Korean conflict Veteran and a two time Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed going fishing, listening to Tango’s and a good game of dominos. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend to many. He is survived by his sister Dominga Hidalgo De Irrizary, his daughters Wilma Hidalgo Miller and Gladys Yvette Ramos, sons Alfredo Hidalgo Jr., and Edsel Hidalgo, grandchildren Deja Nicole Hayes, E. Noel Melendez, Eric Hidalgo, AJ Hidalgo, Miguel Angel Ramos, and Angel Louis Ramos, great grandchildren John Michael Mercier III, Jovani Yonelvi Alvarez , Yeliza Gladys Munoz, Kaylyn Hidalgo, Isabella Hidalgo, and Zoey Hidalgo. We miss your beautiful smile, your selfless nature and you’re never ending care for your family. We love you dad, rest in peace. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm on Thursday, March 9, 2017at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Service will begin at 9:30am on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will follow at 10:30am on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
