Alfredo Arrigucci

Alfredo Arrigucci, 78, passed away on April 27, 2008. A longtime resident of El Paso, He was born, raised and lived for many years in San Elizario, Texas where he owned a cotton farm. Mr.Arrigucci was very active in San Elizario civic affairs, and served as president of the San Elizario School Board. From 1967-1974, he was Executive Director of Project Bravo. He, subsequently, served as Executive Director of the AARP in El Paso from 1974-2000. He also served on the board of the Council on Aging, and was a member of the Lion’s Club. Mr. Arrigucci is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Isabel Arrigucci; son Joel A. Arrigucci of El Paso; daughters Edna Lopez and her husband Richard of El Paso, Diane Arrigucci and her Husband Zeke Isaacs of Ashford,Washington, and Virginia Robinson and her husband Michael of Anthony, New Mexico. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Elizabeth Lopez-Avila, Annette Arrigucci, Richard Lopez, Thomas Silva, Virginia Arrigucci, Andrea Arrigucci, Celine Silva and Michael Robinson. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fernando and Virginia Arrigucci, his brothers Juan Reyes and Eutimio Reyes; his sisters Ines Abeyta, Belen Uribe, and Virginia Arrigucci. Visitation is from 4-9 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina, with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 30, at Sunset Funeral Home-East. The Funeral Mass is on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memorial Pines Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of El Paso for their care and support.Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home East.
