Alfred William Roberts

Alfred William Roberts passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 77. Al was born on August 26, 1941 in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Willow Grove , Pennsylvania and attended Upper Moreland High School and Graduated in 1959. He enlisted in the United States Army in January 1960 and retired on May 31, 1981 as a Master Sargent Major. He was stationed at various posts throughout the United Stated and served overseas in Germany, Korea, Okinawa, Japan and Vietnam, and made El Paso, Texas since 1982. Al had a passion for gardening, and will be dearly missed by his good friends Mark, Rufus and Andrea, and greatly missed by the Barmaids and Bars in Northeast El Paso, Texas. We want to thank the staff at the Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans home for their wonderful care of our good friend. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 05, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 06, 2019 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
