Alex A. Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez was called home by our Heavenly Father, Sunday, August 7, 2016. He is survived by his companion, Irene Sanchez; Sisters Sarah Garcia (Jim) and Veronica Mendoza (Charlie); preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Sara Rodriguez. Alex was born September 26, 1968 in El Paso, Texas. He was a life-long El Paso resident, graduated from Jefferson High, worked for many years at MSD Ignition and was a member of Our Lady of the Light Catholic Church. He loved being an uncle to his nieces: Jeanette, Mandy, Syd and Kaitie; and nephews: Ethan, Aiden and Jordan; and “Nino” to Miguel Angel. He enjoyed fast cars, motorcycles, loud music, traveling, sports, good times and making people laugh. His generosity, huge heart and strength touched many lives. His warm smile and love for life was a reflection of his beautiful soul. Alex always overcame obstacles with positivity & a unique sense of humor. He was a true fighter. May we all find comfort knowing that he is now resting peacefully. Vigil/Rosary will be held at 7:30 pm Friday, August 12th, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina.
