Alberto Fernando Villar, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 13,2023
Alberto was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico on October 10, 1934. He graduated from Escuela Tecnica Commercial and Lydia Patterson Institute then left to serve his country proudly in the United States Army. Alberto married the love of his life Gloria, in a beautiful ceremony in 1963.
Alberto worked as an account manager for various custom brokerage houses for over 50 years. He was an avid coin and stamp collector, enjoyed reading and supported all types of charities especially animal charities.
Alberto is preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Concepcion Villar and wife of 59 years, Gloria Villar. He leaves behind his son Fernando Villar and daughters Lorena Villar and Claudia Villar-Morales and eight grandchildren, Fernando Villar Jr., Alberto Lara, Fernanda Villar-Pettit, Daniela Krysl, Antonio Lara, Sebastian Lara, Camila Morales, and Ivana Morales.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home – East, 750 N. Carolina Drive.
Inurnment with military honors pending date and time at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
