Alberto O. Ontiveros

Alberto O. Ontiveros November 27, 1924-August 3, 2011. Life long resident of El Paso, Texas and member of St. Ignacio Catholic Church. Survived by children, Mary Ontiveros, Edward Ontiveros, Yolanda Corral, Lilly Little, Elisabeth Ontiveros, David Ontiveros and beloved dog “Bruce”, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Jose Alberto, wife, Grace M., and grandchild Grace Richter. Dad was a highly decorated veteran, received recognitions from President Truman and General Patton. Retired from WSMR after 30 years of service. A strong quiet charismatic man with a big heart and unique sense of humor. Dad will be deeply missed; until we meet again. Visitation will be from 4:00 -9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Mass will be at 8:45 a.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
