On December 1st, 2023 Albert Buchberg Jr., age 97, entered eternal rest. He lived a long life with devotion for God and family.
Albert was born in El Paso, TX, on March 9, 1926. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.
Albert is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esperanza, of 71 years, son Joseph, and grandson Matthew. He is survived by his children, Bonnie (Marty), Albert (Irma), Grace (Gerry), Bob (Terri), Randy (Cindy), Dan (Nancy), Paul (Oscar), Manny (Yolie) and his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by many friends and family who respected and loved him, and who will cherish his memory and miss him. Albert leaves a legacy of strength, humor, a deep caring for others, an unbreakable faith, and a strong belief in Jesus Christ.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 PM, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 10000 Pheasant. Committal Service will follow at 1:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
