Agustin Aguirre

Agustin "Kiko" Aguirre Jr., beloved husband and father, passed on to join Our Heavenly Father in all His glory the afternoon of Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 at the age of 74 years. His profound strength of character, kindness, generosity of heart, and pure sincerity of spirit touched and inspired all those who had the opportunity to know him. Agustin attended Bowie High School in El Paso, Texas, and graduated with the Bowie Bear Class of 1961. As a student, he excelled in athletics, most notably in basketball, as well as in track & field. He then began working for The El Paso Times and The El Paso Herald Post newspaper publications in the distinct Production Division and all its numerous departments. He retired after 54 years of service. Agustin is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 54 years Raquel Aguirre and his son Alberto Aguirre. He was preceded in death by his daughter Isela Aguirre and sister Olga Lillian Clayton. He is also survived by brothers and sisters Fred and Elizabeth Aguirre, Yolanda and Oscar Gonzalez, Celia Montes and David Jones, Julie Valles, Corina Aguirre, James Aguirre, and numerous loving and affectionate nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer and Scripture Service in honor of Agustin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7th, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas 79904. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 8th, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast Chapel. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
