Adan Lorenzo Lopez

Adan Lorenzo Lopez, 71, passed away peacefully in his home on May 17, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Adan was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father Alfredo Lopez and his mother Mariana Lopez. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Estela Lopez; sons: Adan (Elsa) Lopez, David Lopez, and Darrin (Lorena) Lopez; 7 granddaughters: Amber Lopez, Celeste Lopez, Christine Lopez, Ashley Lopez, Cynthia Lopez, Lauren Lopez, and Audrey Lopez; sisters: Michaela Meglorino, Eva Del Hierro, and Roselind Garcia. Adan was a graduate of Jefferson High School and the University of Houston where he attended on a tennis scholarship and won numerous tennis tournaments. He was also an outstanding avid golfer and alumni of Jefferson High School and educator with the EPISD for 49 years. He devoted his entire life to his family and touched the lives of many others. Pallbearers: Adan Lopez, David Lopez, Darrin Lopez, Bernardo Del Hierro, Albert Gamboa Jr., and Albert Gamboa, III. Visitation will be held from 5-9pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7pm, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
