Ada Duran

Ada L. Duran, 61, went to join the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso and an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. Having lived with muscular dystrophy, she volunteered her time to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Ada is survived by her son Rick (a Washington Redskins fan), her beloved grandson Dylan (a Redskin/Cowboy fan-depending on whether he was with Grandma or Dad), her brothers Bernie and Jesse, and her blue heeler Barkley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernabe and Jovita, brothers, Oniel and Rene and sister Viola. Visitation will be 4-5:30 pm on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-east with a Vigil at 7 pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr.
